Extraordinary (Poem)

I am beautiful, inside and out.

Every roll, every wrinkle,

From my smile to my eye twinkle.

Every freckle, and every inch,

Every gray hair, every scar,

From my arms, to my feet that carry me far.

All of it, so unique, so me.

From my soft and squishy tummy,

To my solid and strong legs.

Soft.

Strong.

Not a dichotomy, but a synchronous alliance.

I can be both at the same time, in defiance.

I am delicious, every inch,

Even with a waist uncinched.

My flaws are raw, and real,

But they don’t lessen my appeal.

I am rare, I won’t be compared,

So go ahead and stare.
